Star Wars: The Clone Wars—Season 2 aired on Cartoon Network from October 2, 2009 to April 30, 2010. The subtitle for the series was “Rise of the Bounty Hunters” and the series was met with relatively positive reviews.
I enjoy Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I had heard some negative stuff about this season when compared to the first season, but I felt it maintained a good storyline. What was nice about this season is that the writers are doing a good job keeping the multiple characters going.
While a lot of the first season dealt with the relationships between Anakin and Ahsoka, this season broke them up multiple times and allowed them to have their own adventures. Ahsoka is a likeable character and I enjoyed the little adventure that she had with her fellow Padawan, and I’ve enjoyed the fact that Anakin has allowed to branch off and work with other Jedi instead of just Obi-Wan.
I am also a huge bounty hunter fan so it gets me excited to see some of my childhood favorites like Bossk showing up…I look forward to possibly seeing some of the other bounty hunters including more Boba Fett in action. I have to say since her cameo introduction in Star Wars—Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Aura Sing has also moved up the list of popular bounty hunters.
The series also really looks great. What makes the series interesting is that the show doesn’t really compromise shots or style. The backgrounds and camera shots really match the style of the films…In some cases, I think they look better. I don’t always love how the characters look, but in the context of the show, they are ok.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars continues to impress and entertain me. I hope that plans for a finite amount of episodes isn’t changed and feel if the series can wrap itself up in a nice way, it would be good. I worry with Disney’s involvement with the Star Wars series that it might not come to pass.
