Animated April 2013

From anime to Disney and from G-Rated to X-Rated, Animated April 2013 brought almost 50 movies and a few TV shows for fans of animated art.  It was a fun and challenging month.  I love animated films and think they aren’t just for kids.  I saw some new stuff, revisited some old stuff, and got interested in stuff I didn’t know existed.

Animated stories are one of the earliest forms of communication and it is fun to watch them change and evolve, even within a generation with the invention of computer animated films.  While initially targeted at children, they’ve evolved into their own award winning genre that also taps into other genres.

Animated April ends today but there is still a ton of stuff popping up on BasementRejects.com!  (I know that I have stuff I never got finished for the month that will show up in the next few days and weeks).  Keep checking back for more animated films and other fun stuff…I try to provide a variety and consistently add new things (almost to 1,500 reviews!).  I hope to bring Animated April back next year.
